Fidel Castro is a well respected man throughout the world...except in the United States. People from all other countries in the world are permitted to visit and vacation in Cuba...except the United States. The country is beautiful, the people are beautiful...does anyone wonder why the United States is the only country that sees the country and its leader as evil??? When Pierre Trudeau died, Castro was at the funeral. And the two men who stood with Castro, talking to him? Gerald Ford and Jimmy Carter...hmmmmm. Propaganda is alive and well, and being eaten up like hamburgers and fries in the United States.

What politics? Neither the communist authorities in Cuba nor their enemies in Miami will tolerate dissent. They sort of deserve each other.

My sympathy is not with either, it's with the longsuffering Cuban people. They deserve better. Let the Miami Cubans stay forever in Miami and let the Cuban Cubans find their own politics. The sooner the better.

The politics in Cuba are fairly easy to understand. Basically it's "Do as we say or we'll kill you and your family." Sorta the same thing as North Korea and Iran.
