1. Goaltending. (See just about everyone above who mentioned this. They are right!)
2. Defense. Pratt and Sarich are solid stay-at-home d-men, and Boyle and Kuba are good two-way players. However, the rest if the D leaves a lot to be desired, and none of these players is good enough to step it up when the Bolts really need it. They need more speed and grit on their blueline. No one is scared to stand in front of their goalie, because there are no consequences. The D is just too soft.
3. Scoring depth. Once you get past the big 3 on this team, they are not that good. To hear Bobby Taylor on Sunshine Network talk you'd think that Prospal was Gretzky, Ryan Craig was Mark Messier and Paul Ranger was Paul Coffey, but the fact is that none of these guys are really anything better than role players. They desperately need a viable second scoring line, but the players are simply not there.
4. As someone already said, the NHL is one of those leagues where any team can win on any given night. It is a long season, and every good team is going to have a bad game, and every cruddy team is occassionally going to play great. That is what happened last night. But until the Bolts fix some of the problems above, they'll be lucky to make the playoffs.

Any team can have an off night.
I'd be worried playing the Flyers any night. Hear me out. For one, law of averages--you can't lose every night. For two, they are a better team then they've showed this year, for three sometimes you go into a game thinking it will be easy and let your guard down.
I didn't see your game (only the Zhitnik goal) as I was watching the Sabs--but I wouldn't read too much into your loss. The Sabs lose to teams they should beat, it's part of an 82 game season.

Winning isn't so easy without a healthy Nikolai Khabibulin in your net.
Tampa's goaltending is abysmal. It's looking pretty obvious that all the hype surrounding Marc Denis before he came to the NHL wasn't justified. Holmnqvist is definitely a backup, and not ready for the big time.
The sad part is that they are going to have to deal one of their big three (Richards, St. Louis, Lecavalier) to right the ship. One thing is for sure. This team with a good goalie is not this bad.

A lifelong Flyers fan here. I was surprised that Forsberg suited up and played. He is a big difference and they can't lose every game. In today's NHL any team can win.

It's because there was a guy on here yesterday asking what NHL games to bet on, and he indicated this game was a lock for the Lightning to win. At that point I Knew Philly could not loose. HA!

I think the answer is simple. When Simone Gagne and Forsberg are playing together you better hope that you have brodeur in net. lol. When Forsberg is playing it's hard for teams to stop him, let alone gagne!!

The team can't count on Lecavalier and St-Louis to do all the scoring.
