you should really turn the question the other way around How can they prove he actually exists for example have they met god, have they got a picture, does he have a bank account, insurance policy etc.
Honestly insurance companies as shoddy piles of ******. I hate them, its a complete con, they taking our money for such purposes and then we have to fight with them when we want it back. It should be if they insure you they have to give you the money.

You don't say what the "act" was. But, you should have read your policy throughly. In certain areas where natural disasters are a known fact you can buy supplemental flood insurance, earthquake insurance etc.
God or nature, doesn't matter, the small print makes the determination.

Act of God or vis majure -- any loss suffered on account of natural calamities and natural catastrophes (like tsunamis, floods, earthquakes, lightening) which are beyond the control of human beings, is called the act of God. We need not prove the existence of God to substantiate our claims. Thanks and Happy New Year.

What was damaged ? Lets say it was your roof... and they are saying god coughed and blew your roof off... wait a few weeks take a couple of cans of Turps - and a couple of cans of paint - up into the loft ..and oooopps ...someone dropped a cigarette... if the insurance companies want to play games - then you should beat them at their own..

Well,God does exist you know.As a matter of fact people have seen God.My grandpa said before he died to my grandma,"Babe, the angel is at the door,Mary,it's time."(you know to die.)And you know what,Yahoo Answers just deleted my last post just because I was trying to tell people about God and the true meaning of Christmas.Don't you think they should mind their own beeswax? I do.All the way.

You won't "let" this one lie, not "leave".
Anyway, you'll have to give us a bit more info on the problem first, and get reading the contract you signed with them to see what's included under the policy and what's not...
