i have the USB adapter for it, i stick it in, there’s an option to open it as a portable media device, i click on that and it opens a new window for it. but i can’t transfer stuff into it. i can’t drag files into it, i can’t copy files into it, i can’t do any thing with it. i hate tried to reformat that did not work, i tried to copy and paist, that did not work. the USB converter is not locked. and i can't send files to it by right clicking it, and clicking send to drive, it says "please insert disk into drive". double left clicking does not work, it says again " please insert disk into drive".

aint no expert would a SD card be the one with the little switch on it?? coz that switch is a write protect, which stop files being created or deleted on said card. try switching it into the other position then have a crack at it.

hence SD = Secure Digital........

of course i could be wrong, i may have dreamt all that

--please insert disk into drive--
Depending on how many slots the USB adapter has, you may have more than one removable drive listed in my computer. Check to see how many different drive letters are listed.

SanDisk SmartMedia USB is not supported in WindowsXP. You didn't mention what model USB adapter you are having problems with or what operating system you are using.
