I sit with my feet tucked safely underneath me and I close the closet door to keep out the closet monster. Seriously, I can't sleep with the closet door open! LOL

HAHAHA... I have ALWAYS been afraid of the dark. I sleep all over the bed anyways, (my husband HATES it), but if I wake up and limbs are hanging off I nearly push him off the bed trying to get back on it!! It's pretty sad when you are a married, and still have to sleep with a night light after a scary movie... It's crazy the stuff that is instilled in us as children that stays with us over the years... Thanks to my mom forcing me to watch Dateline when I was a child - I now constantly think there is a hidden camera in any bathroom I go into, or that someone will steal my purse off the hook, and all those other crazy stories they do!! HAHAHA
Hope this was at least good for a laugh - Happy New Year to you and the Boogie Man!!

Ha! I asked this question at work a few years back...were you there by any chance? ;0)
I still cannot hang my hands nor my feet over the side of the bed. Men seem to have less of a problem with this. That scene from Poltergeist really sealed that deal, too.

I am 35 years old and still do not like to hang my feet off the bed, but mostly because I have cats that might jump at them

Actually, I have to hang my right foot out of the covers! It helps with night sweats...now that I am older. I know what's underneath.

LOL youn are too cute. No I have no fear of that. What I do have a fear of is my 1 and a half year old monster dog waking up and playing real hard and breaking my arm or foot.
Evil damn dust bunnies have all died lmao!!!!

Sometimes that instinct does kick in, yeah. Especially after I've read a Stephen King novel :)
