hey i love having my hair curly a lot more than i do straight but it takes too long to sit and curl it every morning so my mum suggested a perm but i don't really know weather to have one or not ? i have medium/long hair, blonde, naturally straight its not coloured, i have no highlights or anything its in good condition as i rarely straighten it. people have saind it quite bad for your hair and would last 3 - 6 months would it last that long, is it a good idea and should i go for it or not?

No. Even a mild perm doesn't do your hair any good

No dont do it! I got a perm last April and it was horrible. It burnt some of my bangs off at the scalp and they are just now getting about long enough to try in with the rest of my bangs. For the longest time, I had a little spike and it looked really crappy. I know this is just my experience, but all in all perms are really hard on your hair and if you want curly hair every now and again, you should just invest in some rollers or something like that. Hope this helps!

NO don't do it !!! I had a perm like 5 months ago and my hair really dry now and puffy plus you don't really have that ability to choose have it straight or or curly the next morning. I got a perm because I was tired of my striaght hair, but now I reallty miss it. Of course in the beginning my curly hair look really nice but as time went by it became dryer and a hassle. Plus perm don't last 3 months it takes 6-12 months for it to go off. Do yourself a favor and don't do this to yourself!!

First, do what you want. It's your hair. Second, perms use chemicals and will harm your hair. But so does shampooing, not shampooing, our dirty air, heat from curling irons or hair straighteners, hair dryers, and other things. Perms seem to last about three months. But remember that your hair continues to grow. So the new stuff close to your head will be straight. Third, I personally prefer straight hair but, as I said in my first sentence, it's your hair. Try a perm and see how it goes. If you don't like it, don't do it again.

I would not suggest a perm, you might come out looking like a poodle dog. I would get a body wave with larger perm rods. I would go for it for the simple fact that once it's curly, you can blow dry it straight which might take less time than curling it every day.

No.

A perm looks bad, and artificial. I'm sure you agree a naturally curly hairstyle is preferebale to an odd obviously permed hair.

A perm is really chemically damaging your hair to make it react one way. No, don't perm your hair. It went out of fashion for one simple reason... it looks bad.

DONOT PERM YOUR HAIR!!! I permed my hair and it was a disaster. It doesn't look the same as when you curl it every morning and it will really damages your hair. This is one of the worst thing you could do to your hair.

I would't recommend u to perm ur hair. It will get damage =( specially if it's natural.
But If u really wanna do it, go to an excelent hairdresser and spend money on it! and buy good products to nourish ur hair coz it will probably get dry.

don't do it.
they damage the hair and curly perms r dated.
if u can spare a hour at night, consider platting ur hair, sleep and un-wrap in the morning.

No - even if it is an expensive perm, and you look after if according to your hairdressers instructions, it will take longer to do each morning and will end up dry and frizzy no matter what!
