I used to play card games (depending on the kids age), Old Maid, go fish, or "I Spy" to help them clean up. Freeze dancing with the radio, or dolls or cars (depending on if the child is a boy or girl and their age).

Okay do some outside activities if your aloud take them to the park or finger paint inside(just make sure you do one at a time) spend some time reading a bed time story or a nap time stary if you watch them before it's actually bed time. Also call over a friend to help you babysit, it's cool, it's fun, someone else can help out, and it's easier to watch them because there will be two kids and two babysitters! Does that help?

When I was a full-time sitter for a 1 year old and a 5 year old...well, they were both generally pretty happy kids who were just happy if I was paying attention to them. Their favorite thing was the repertoire of string games I'd picked up when I was younger; cat's cradle, Jacob's ladder, that sort of thing. The older boy would make up stories with the string figures, usually also involving his toys (his favorite was the collapsing cave, where I'd make a string cave and hold it on the floor for him to drive cars through, and I'd make a cave-in), while the baby was entertained just watching.

My two oldest boys (6 & 4) love board games and video games...Apples to Apples Junior, Toy Story Yahtzee, Thomas the Tank Engine board game, Hullaballoo, Careers, Winning Ticket, and Risk are some of their favorites. They like playing cards too (poker, war, concentration, go fish, etc.).

It depends on the age but here are a few suggestions:

• hide and seek (one floor of the house only!)
• board games (age appropriate)
• singing, dancing
• you could try some fun science experiments (easy ones with no alot of ingredients or props.

how old are the kids? That's a big thing.
I used to work at a daycare and I have all kinds of ideas, but for 2-4 yr olds.
