Look regardless of your sexual preference, you have the ability to go out. You don't have to, it is not a requirement anywhere that says you must go to clubs in packs of 3 or more blondes.

Iwouldn't sugesst drinking in the club alone, that always leads to misery. But if you are going to the club to have fun and entertain yourself why the hell not. Get out on the dance and shake your boootey!

I am straight, but I can tell you that it depends upon the type of person you want to meet. In general, bars and clubs are questionable for anyone out alone (unless you just want to pick someone up, rather than form a friendship that grows into something more).

I would say find a gay organization that you can join as a place to start (see link below). They would provide support, and probably some valuable friendships that can get your network going in meeting people.

For safety reasons, I would say no. Nightclubs are very risky atmospheres regardless of how much fun you are having. You should always be with at least one other person unless youre meeting someone there.
