Not without compromise, but I have loved someone without contempt. There is always compromise in love, it's the only way to make it work. The secret is to be able to love someone anyway, despite the compromises that must be made. When you love someone, you're sharing with them, and therefore there must be compromise.

Very excellent question though, because this is something I've been thinking about quite a bit lately.

I agree with Anashuya.... when you truly love someone, you must make sacrifices and compromise. Everyone is different and unique in their own way so there must be time to learn and adapt, to comfort etc.... All the while - compromise... did you notice promise in the word? There's your sign....

Good question! I think that relationships are always about compromise, however too many people out there are looking for someone to complete them. Only you can complete you, and then hopefully you find some one who complements that and encourages you to be all you can be.
