Hurricane Season is June 1-November 1 for the Atlantic side. The worse time is normally the summer--like mid Aug thru end of Sept. Labor Day weekend seems to always have a storm.

I lived down there for 4 yrs, without family, near the intercoastal. There are evacuation shelters...and you will make friends. Also, the university should have a plan for you guys. Contact them for more information. Also, in Florida, the weather guys are good, you hear about disturbances WELL in advance, and you can keep an eye on it, and they will give you plenty of notice to evacuate. But, always, go with your gut. You NEVER have to wait for them to tell you when to buy Hurrinance supplies, food....or when to pack up and leave. We left about 10 hours before the evacuation for Frances---which hit our town pretty bad. We had 2 small children under 2 and didn't want to be stuck on the road. Good luck!

hard and grimy? once you've traveled the international you would recognize that each and each and every one cities are grimy mainly parts. Miami is resembling the different city in that respect. it really is a large city visited through folk all different the globe, i'd say we've the perfect nightlife in US and the perfect sea coast scene. I dont like the seashores in Ca. comparing sarasota with miami is like asking might want to i bypass to syracuse or nyc. human beings dont spend 1000's of thousands in sarasota yet they do in miami. miami is a complicated city in case you at the instantaneous are not a particular type of man or woman you would not like it yet once you've funds to spend and seem solid you'll adore the golf equipment. those are international classification places bypass to Mynt, mansion, liv, set and also you would see what i propose. have you ever been to Ibiza Spain? nicely Miami is the basically position in US the position you get something similar. i propose the pelican motel on oceanchronic owned through diesel denims. and each and each and every evening has a distinct "it" position so ask round. tuesdays is mokai. anyhow i does not bypass to sarasota "boring" that's the backwoods regardless of the indisputable fact that it really is exceptionally yet i choose Jupiter if i became searching for a desolate position like that. Jupiter on the east coast is magnificent.

There are good evacuation routes in Florida. You will have plenty of warning to evacuate.

The storms can get pretty bad but if you don't own a house then you shouldn't have to worry about much.

the best thing to do is research. find out when hurricane season is. make sure your protected. always watch the weather channel to see the conditions. be aware.don't have no where to go? easy, go to a friend's house. no friends and a hurricane is coming, you may have to ask a family you may not know. but , NEVER drive when conditions are in hurricane temperatures.oh, and if you live on the beach, RETREAT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
