Can there really be a comparison?

President Ford pardoned Nixon and fell down a lot. I don't remember him ever being responsible for the deaths of large numbers of people, or for any economic decline. Actually, post-Nixon issues, I don't remember any overt scandal or drama during Ford's presidency. I think that most of the "rememberances" over Ford right now are just media hype because a president has died and they are trying to find something interesting to say about him. The Ford administration was brief and uneventful.

Ford was the last of the moderate Republicans. He believed by pardoning Nixon he could begin healing the nation. On hindsight, most people feel he was right. It would do this country good if the Republican party had more Gerald Ford's in it.

Yeah, if someone pardons Bush, their ratings will drop. But Bush will remain in the toilet when it comes to ratings. He will exit the White House with possibly the lowest approval rating since they have had approval ratings. He's got 2 more years to get deeper into this morase of Iraq - he doesn't know how to get out of it and is floundering big time. A sad, sad excuse for the leader of the greatest country on earth.

I dont hail Ford. I think he was a tool of the war machine.
However Im sure history will bear out the President as the ones with the money right the history. If you control the past you control the future.

No. Because Bush does not have the abilty to difuse anything. And as long as New Orleans is not totally rebuilt and recovered there will always be questions on his ability to bring Americians together.

Only if we are allowed to crush the influx of Aholes into Iraq starting the trouble. As long as we finish what we started, I think you are correct. Otherwise, I don't think it won't matter much as we will likely be living in holes in the ground and riding camels for transportation. No modern technology, no Ipods, no Blackberry phones....

Probably not. Ford got us totally out of Vietnam, Bush has started the Iraq mess. What do people think of Lyndon Johnson now, his approval never went up.

President Bush and Prime Minister Blair are two of the greatest leaders that the free world has ever had. History will bear this out.
Many do not see this now because of their own personal anger and misunderstanding of world politics and terrorism.
