The only way to know for sure is to take a test. When I was about a week late with abdominal pain, I was indeed pregnant.

I would definitely suggest going to Wal-Mart and getting a pregnancy test. Symptoms would not show up this quick if she were pregnant though. Wal-Mart preg. test are only about $5.00 and they are just as accurate as the more expensive ones. If she is not preg., she needs to get on some form of birth control. Alot of times, just before my period, I become very tired for the first two days. Women's bodies change all of the time, so maybe she's just changing... hopefully so, b/c based on your question, you sound mighty young to be having babies right now.

Scary. You sound about 12, so how old is your baby sister???

Being pregnant should not make sex hurt a lot. I would worry more about her skipped period. Have her take an over-the-counter pregnancy test.

Hi honey. Go out and get your sister a HPT. she can call planned parenthood and get a blood test and good prenatal care. Good Luck! if she is she can get on WIC and an insurance that will pay for her care while pregnant and the care of the baby after birth. Email me with any questions!

i agree with those saying check for an STD. the pill does NOT stop STD's, actually the increase in STD's corrosponds with the increase of oral contraceptives. gives people a false sense of security.
PID is what comes to mind, it can cause severe lower abdominal pain and sometimes delay menses. its usually treatable with antibiotics, but if not treated can lead to infertility.

I'm not sure how old your sister is....sounds as if shes young. Its normal for adolescents to have abnormal periods. Being preg. , especially that early would not cause pain. I would tell her to get a home preg. test.. If negative she should go to doctor and get checked.

Sounds like a vaginal infection more than pregnancy - pregnancy wouldn't cause sex to be painful. And she may have been told by the boyfriend that it was his first time, but he could have been lying about that or he's had sex with someone else since their first time...or maybe she's had sex with someone else and is too embarassed to tell you.
Get her checked out by the doc.

Pregnancy is not the only reason you can miss her period. It could be an infection. I got one once that interrupted my period. And there was lots of pain. Tell her to go to the doctor.
