It was about an alien "Mork from Ork" and his mission to study and understand the Human Race. Originally a character from Happy Days, Mork and Mindy was a spin-off that focused on Mork trying to fit in on a daily basis as a normal human. Mindy tried to teach and explain things to him like the complexities of human emotions and how expressions are not always to be taken literally. Eventually they fall in love (because that's where sitcoms eventually go when they don't know where else to go), and so on and so forth........That's pretty much it, and it let Robin Williams act like a total nutcase in primetime.

It is about an alien who shares a flat with a human. I know that's not much info but that's basically it. I think it is a bit like 3rd Rock From the Sun. Mork still had to report to a big man in space, I think he was on a fact finding mission.

"Dispatched from Ork in his egg-shaped spacecraft, the lovable Orkan hurtles to Earth near the town of Boulder Colorado, where he is befriended by pretty college student Mindy McConnell (Dawber). Mork's mission is to observe the bizarre customs of the earthlings and then report back to his great Orkan leader, Orson. He tries his best to adapt to his new environment - not an easy task when you innocently wear your clothes backwards, sit in a chair upside down, or blurt out "Shazbot!" when things go awry. It's an out-of-this-world series of laughs and escapades when human being meets humanoid hurricane in Mork & Mindy."

An interracial study exploring a Platonic relationship, where physical love was impossible due to gender but emotional ties could be maximised to make a statement about the human condition, whilst not offending ethnic religious or sexual activists.
Oh, and some bloke who pretended to be an Alien and made crap jokes!
