With time and grieving. You don't deal with death, death deals with you.

There is no certain way of dealing with death. It all depends on the person . Some people cry, others get angry, others get sad. others put walls up. It is so hard to say. There is really no set answer. Death is a very difficult thing to deal with. Its very painful emotionally. If you are going through this my prayers are with you.

It is a hard thing and everyone deals with it differently. The way I dealt with the loss of my father was to accept it,although I did not want to and still don't. I know he is in a far better place without anymore pain and sadness. I know he still loves me and is with me in a sense. A day has not gone by since he passed that I do not think about him,but that is the way it should be princess. Always remember the life your loved one lived, the joy,the happiness, and yes even the hard times you have went through with them. Keep them alive in your heart and mind.

I like to think of it all as a passage from earth to a better place. I like to remember the person and the joy they gave me and try not to feel too sad over their passing. If they were ill I like to remember that now they are not and if their death was untimely I believe it has happened for a reason as I believe that we are all predestined at birth for whatever our life turns out to be. I also believe that when someone dies they remain with us forever as we are all connected and people leave a mark on you good or bad forever. The rituals we go through when someone dies is mainly done for the ones who are left behind. It is hard to not get wrapped up in your grief but that is a selfish act. That is why I try and focus on what the person meant to my life. I know my family who are no longer on this earth are still with me and that comforts me.

You never get over a death of a loved one. You just learn to except. Time is what it takes.

I think you feel very sad and completely overwhelmed the first year, then you start to heal. But if it was your child or your parent/guardian, I don't think you ever really get over it. But slowly you get over it when it is someone other than that because your not as close to them. Having to face that someone close to us has died, is a very tough and hard thing to do. So it will take some time.

By focusing on the time together instead of the loss of future time

Count your blessings

Depression and sadness are created when we look at what we don't have

joy and happiness comes when we look at what we do have.
