I believe that we will all be loved ones there and yet I think you will have your attractions to those you love yes. As far as recognize we wont have bodies only pure energy and thought so we imagine our bodies if at all. So it would be more like a mental telepathy. The scriptures do tell us we will know one another in heaven so yes I believe you will.

I am not religious and do not necessarily believe in a heaven as portrayed by religions but for some reason I do believe I will be reunited with friends and my dog and relatives... and it will all be in a beautiful and positive way... I cannot explain why but from the questions I have asked of others w/near death experiences, i do believe this.. for some reason it has a ring of truth for me...

I have struggled with this one for years.
It would seem to me that if there was recognition in heaven then we would also recognize that person that lived a horrible life and accepted Christ in a death bed conversion.
We would also have to have memory so if one of our loved ones was missing we would know it.

Yes.
"The difference and distinction will naturally become realized between all men after their departure from this mortal world. But this (distinction) is not in respect to place, but it is in respect to the soul and conscience. For the Kingdom of God is sanctified (or free) from time and place; it is another world and another universe. But the holy souls are promised the gift of intercession. And know thou for a certainty, that in the divine worlds, the spiritual beloved ones (believers) will recognize each other, and will seek union (with each other), but a spiritual union. Likewise, a love that one may have entertained for any one will not be forgotten in the world of the Kingdom. Likewise, thou wilt not forget (there) the life that thou hast had in the material world."

To answer this question from a Christian point of view, one only needs to look at the story of the Rich Man and Lazarus. Rich Man was in hell and he could still be recognized and Lazarus was in paradise and could still be recognized.
