i've been calling her first child my 2nd cousin but i think thats wrong! so to round it up my mum's sister's daughter claire(my first cousin) had a baby boy yesterday. what relation is he to me?

2d cousin. ( I easily have a lot of them) my cousins merely had a toddler. now get this. Your 1st cousin, once removed... your child would be it's 2nd cousin. Each time it is in a different generation, that's where the once removed comes in. If it's the same generation it becomes, 1st, 2nd, 3rd cousin... etc. Make sense?
