sure did. They started to put these in during the late 50"s, To tell you the truth I think they worked better then than now you see vehicles all over with their blinkers on for miles.

This site shows the system and how to get to it. One picture shows the canceling ring. In the picture below that one, you can see two circles. One above the center steering shaft and one below it. These are springs and work with the canceling ring. It is very common for these to break.

It did come with self cancel signals. I even have them on my '69.

yes. and they susceptible to break with age and extreme tmps. the cam is under the steering wheel.
