Hoffman. He can do anything from 12-99 years old (Little Big Man), Comedy (Meet the Fockers), Drama (RainMan...excellent performance there!!!), Children's (Hook, where we see a bit of action due to the sword fighting!). He's an amazingly talented actor, whom I feel is the best in Hollywood.

Al Pacino won the Best Actor Oscar for Scent of a Woman (1992) and he was amazing in that movie.

Well, if I'm only given those three choices, I would pick DeNiro. He can do drama and comedy both really well. Pacino is a bit too crazy for me. I'm sure Hoffman's a nice guy, I've just never been a huge fan of his movies. Outside of just the three, I honestly would pick Ewan McGregor. Comedy, Drama, Musical...you name it and he can do it. I think he's just outstanding. There's my opinion!

Al Pacino. He has played the most diverse rolls. Hoffman always plays the ackward, timid character. And DeNiro plays the tough guy. While each is good at what they do, Al Pacino can do more.

I personally like De Niro the best out of the three. I especially liked his role as the father in Meet the Parents.

Al Pacino is excellent- I'm mean all you have to do is watch Devil's Advocate. He was so serious. De Niro is great and runs second.

de niro...... al pacino has made great movies but when you think about it he sort of always acts out the same thing, guy screaming with that look on his face, so I think deniro is more versatile. Now hoffman is great, but deniro is memorable for many more movies than him.

They're all good-but I would have to go with Pacino-I love Scent Of A Woman and Scarface.

This is so not fair....How can anyone make that choice.
first you can eliminate Hoffman
second I refuse to answer about the other 2 unless you put G. Hackman into the equasion!
In which case I would have to choose him.
then De Niro
then Pacino or... maybe the other way around

Over rated under talented hacks. Mostly it is the way they choose to look like homeless derelicts that have not bathed in many many years and tender lines in boring monotone and get called genius. They are not. Even Christina Uck-ulera could out act them on a bad day.
