Crocodiles can be seen during the day and at night. It seems that they are more active at night though they do hunt and sunbathe during daytime. Hence, I'd like to ask wether these reptiles are nocturnal.

I don't think crocodiles sleep at all, they just rest for a while and wait.

they actually tend to hunt during the day.... being cold-blooded they must warm their body after feeding (bask) in order to digest the food.
