I was terrified too. I don't know if they will do it directly after giving birth. But the procedure was so easy. I really don't think it's bad after a vaginal birth though. My mother had it done that way. They don't have to cut you open to get it done. My mother had never complained about the way hers was done. I don't really know how they went about it, because it was 14 years ago now.

You can request the procedure after you give birth. My aunt did, at first they wanted her to come back, but she was persistent. If you make it clear that is when you want it done, I am sure they wont mind doing it after you give birth.
