lol, if you try to comfort an angry raccoon, you'll likely leave with less body parts.
I hope you're kidding, raccoons can be mean little buggers and can carry rabies! Best to let him get over it on his own ;)

NO..What ever you do leave him alone.Racoons are cute but are mean when they get older.Even babies.About five weeks old they get to biteing and start the wild process.I work rescueing and realeasing wild animals.I have raised babies as early as one week old. They pur like a kitten then watch out.At five weeks they become very agresive.Leave him alone. As that what happens.People think they are cute and take them when moms away. Then its rescue time as mom goes away.So let them be wild.If you have cat or dog food. That is what he is probaly after.
they love that. And have a sweet tooth as well.Just sit and enjoy them from afar.Your hug would end you up in the hospital. As they can fight very well.Cute yes.But they are wild creatures.Good luck and just take a picture or watch him.And bring in any sort of food.Dont try to feed them. That a no no too.

I would recommend doing nothing. A raccoon will cause great bodily harm. I would make sure you have no garbage outside to draw them to your home.
If this animal continues to come around, I suggest calling animal control or a professional to remove it. A live trap will not harm the animal, but it can be contained and be released in a more appropriate area.

Raccoons are cute, but if they are approachable, they are probably rabid.
Depending on where you live, you might want to call animal control.
