Their parents ha ha. I believe that it is a scientific question, and not to offend anyone but there is no evidence in any era that homosexuality was a life acceptable for our earth as humans. Noah's ark, was two by two and male and female they were. And in Sodom and Gomorrah was destroyed, But concubines were a different thing for the royalty that were so deviated they had them for abusive use in sex. Like Coagula the Caesar of Rome. But he was considered insane. He forced a man into homosexuality by castrating him. But today we have a difference of opinion on those issues of abuse, and religion as well. Personally I think there is a flaw in all human beings and maybe that has become an evolutionary flaw that has evolved into the light and acceptable. It is a very loaded question but you must research in science in order to really know the meaning. Obviously they are not humans meant to procreate.

Hard to say where it came from. Some scientists say that certain people are genetically predisposed to be homosexual, but those who believe in a supreme being say that homosexuality is a perversion and an abomination in the eyes of God/Allah/Yahweh, etc., and they believe it comes from wickedness of heart.

One thing I can tell you with 100% certainty: Homosexuality is a CHOICE. No one is holding a gun to the head of any gay man or woman and saying "You will be a homosexual or I will blow your brains out." Gays and lesbians who say they they can't help being that way are lying (anyone can change any behavior they want to change if they want to change it badly enough). Also, the scientists who say that there is a genetic pre-disposition to be homosexual cannot argue the fact that homosexuality is contrary to the laws of nature -- all mammals, including human beings, are pre-programmed with a survival instinct, and same-sex relationships are contrary to that instinct because part of survival is propagation of the species and human beings must have male and female to reproduce. Now, many gay men and women have said that they would have heterosexual sex for the purpose of conceiving children, but if they did so they would be admitting by their own actions that their homosexual orientation is unnatural.

So why are people homosexual? Well, studies of homosexual women show that the vast majority of them were physically and/or sexually abused by a prominent male figure at some point in their lives (usually a stepfather or mother's boyfriend, but could also be a father, brother, husband, etc.) and studies of homosexual men show that most of them were either (a) told repeatedly by a prominent male figure in their lives that they were sissies, girly-boys, pansies, etc., or (b) approached by another homosexual male who influenced their decision to become gay. It's also very common in this day and age for teenagers to try same-sex relationships because they believe being gay is "cool." The smallest group of homosexuals are gay because they want to be that way and don't make any excuses like "I was born this way" or "I can't help it." People like that are few and far between though. Most people in same-sex relationships know deep-down that what they're doing is sinful and unnatural and they'll use any excuse they can find to rationalize their behavior.

There are a number of attempted explanations for homosexuality. Some who have studied the phenomenon think that people are born gay, whereas others believe that one's experiences shape one's sexual orientation. A number of people who are gay have reported being abused when they were young, and these experiences may have led them to be gay. At one time, homosexuality was considered a mental illness. Some religions say man's sinful nature and a personage known as the Devil bring it about that persons are gay. Both Christianity and Judaism condemn homosexual behavior. Along with one of my former psychology professors, I tend to believe homosexuality is a learned behavior, although it seems that certain individuals are genetically predisposed to be gay. This does not mean that one must act on the predisposition, however.

OMG...Do NOT listen to a bunch of those answers. They are absolutely rediculous and ignorant. Homosexuality is NOT a choice. People are born with a certain sexual preference. It is caused from the way your brain is created in the womb. I am not homosexual but I know many people who are and they say they have always known they were gay. There is absolutely nothing wrong with it. Anyone who says otherwise has to open their mind and realize that all people are equal.

To add laughter to above insults:
It obviously has to do with the serpent and the apple in Paradise.

A RIDDLE to all religious zealots:
If homosexuality is really against God’s laws, why did he create homosexuals?
Just to rally against them later??? Pretty idiotic, isn’t it?

For me (straight, two children) homosexuality is just a form, an expression of the power of life. Absolutely acceptable as long as no one is suppressed. Forget religious qualms!!!

It was born with human kind.

Even the old books (like the Torah, aka the Old Testament) forbids homosexuality. It means it occurred and it was observed a couple of thousands years ago - non existing phenomenas were not mentioned. Nevertheless, science doesn't have a clear answer.

No one knows for sure! It has probably been prevalent in human society since the day we stood up and walked upright. Some research shows that sexuality is genetic, others show that it can be culturally influenced, some show it is a matter of personal preference etc.........there are a variety of explanations ptu forth; some credible, some biased

The one thing I can tell you is that human beings are the only animals that can/do mate for reasons other than procreation..........

Medical research shows that we do not choose our sexuality. We are born within a range from completely attracted to people of the same sex to completely attracted to the opposite sex. Over 70% of human beings fall between these extremes, meaning that we are capable of some attraction to either our own gender or the opposite gender to one degree or another. In short, we are mostly bi-sexual.
