The DS is a little bulky. The DS lite improved on this. I've never played a DS but i'm assuming the DS Lite is comparable or even better. Go with the Lite.

The DS Lite is in fact, lighter. But it does not come in fun colors like blue. I just got a regular DS for Christmas and I'm completely addicted. Either one is a great choice.

ds lite... there much smaller than the original ds and the screen is much brighter as well. also the stylus is bigger which makes it easier to use and hold =)
