I think it would. I think this is one major reason to look into and actively pursue alternative fuel sources now. No matter how high the gas price gets, the American demand remains steady. Like Bush said, Americans are addicted to oil (and the oil we get funds terrorism). If we could reduce our dependence on volatile countries for oil, we would reduce American money getting into the wrong hands.

But, I'm just some tree hugging liberal who happens to also understand that paying people who want us dead is not such a great idea. So I've been a proponent of alternative fuel sources for years.

YES it would cripple an industrialized nation. A lot of everyday things we use are plastic. Plastic is made from oil. Also thats where we get a lot of our energy from as well. Thats why people need to start coming up with alternative solutions besides using oil.

I do, I have been in line for hours in LA in the seventies for 10 Gallons of Gas. This experience convinced me to move to another State and to live in a less populated area. The cut off of Oil Shipments would be disastrous to all industrialized nations.

Ignorant people who go through below the myth that wellness care contained in the U. S. is larger than everywhere else contained in the international would desire to get out and spot the international for what it quite is. the U. S. does furnish wonderful wellness care, yet in basic terms for the wealthy. that is long previous time that the U. S. would desire to furnish widespread get entry to to wellness care. clever voters would desire to flip any candidate for public place of work out in the event that they disagree.
