Assuming Favre does come back, should the Packers go with him again and let Rodgers ride the pine another year? Or do they trade him to a contender and try to get something for him?
Or do you think the Pack wont try to sign him back?

I personally think they should sign him back and trade him - I think that would be the selfless thing to do for Favre if he does care about the Green Bay fans, rather than hold them back from moving to the next era at Lambeau. But I'm not a Packer fan.

A) He needs to announce his intentions ASAP!!! Whatever it is, PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE no more DRAMA QUEEN dragging it out over months and months.
B) If the surrounding cast gets better (i.e., a #1 pick WR or TE) and a few upgrades to the O'line than I hope he comes back.
C) If nothing really changes on the offense....TRADE him!!!!
D) If he retires..................THANKS FOR THE MEMORIES and GOOD LUCK wish him luck with family & health.

I am not sure people realize what the Packers lose if they lose Favre. Let's look at what he brings him.
1) A GREAT attitude coupled with a GREAT work ethic. A good leader will do anything he asks his followers to do. That is Favre. He takes a beating, and he is right back out there. He is not only a work horse, he is a Clydesdale.
2) He is a TEAM player. He does not hog the glory. He gets the glory because it comes to him. I wish the Randy Moss' and the T.O's of this world would realize this. I always said that Vikings will never win a Super bowl with Moss on the team, and now I say Cowboys will not win a Super Bowl with T.O. on the team. They sow a cancerous attitude that infects and breaks down a team, Especially a young team. Favre not only works with a TEAM attitude, but He wont let the cancer grow on his team either, (case in point .... Mike McKenzie.) The Packers do miss his talent though. (Don't get me wrong, Woodson is a GREAT player)
3) Talent and skill. Wow, One of the top 5 quarterbacks of all time. I still say hes better than the others, but hey, I got the rose colored glasses. You do have to admit though, he is still better the most. The only time he really gets on the coaches and the fans nerves is what he does when he gets behind. McCarthy, if you are going to remain the coach, you gotta bridal Favre. You wont tame him, but, you gotta bridal him.
Favre can take Green Bay to the Super bowl and win it. This year he probably can't, but he could as early as next year. It is more realistic to expect this the following year.
tip: When the Packers get behind, the front line should let Favre get sacked once. Favre is so much more accurate and deadly when hurt or peeved.

Ok, first off Favre is coming back. Second of all Rodgers broke his foot this year. That is an injury that takes close to a year to get back to where he was before that. If anything the packers would sign an old veteran to back up Favre. There is no way that Rodgers is even close to ready to play next year.

No, I don't think the Packers will trade Favre because they have to be sure that his backup will be ready to go after his broken foot. Aaron Rodgers is ready to play but if thay trade Favre who is as inspirational as they come they had better get enough for him to balance the cost for present and future.

Will be back playing for the Packers for the 2007 season unfortunally. They need to rebuild. And can't do this with Favre as the qb.

I have been a football fan since I was about 8 years old and I have to say that Brett Favre is a great quarterback and a hall of famer to be respected with other greats of the game.....That being said please hope that he retires. He is only holding the packers back from moving forward and every year he gets a little worse. Somebody tell him to hang it up please.

When the man has done as much for your franchise as Favre has, you let him do whatever he wants and go out on his own town. Dont forget people wanted to run Joe Paterno out of Penn State and the next year he came back with a great season (last year I beleive)

I could see him coming back if the Packers had a legitimate shot at winning another super bowl, but they don't. Favre has had a brilliant career and is a shoe in for the Hall Of Fame. Before he gets seriously hurt he should call it a career and walk away healthy. He has nothing to prove to anyone. He will be regarded as one of the five greatest QB's of all time.

he hasn't made it good yet I truly have a feeling he would be lower back for a million greater season and he will state up front that it truly is going to likely be his final no be counted what. i do no longer see him playing after this season. i think of he's conscious that Packers have what it takes to win a playoff game and coming so close to to victory could be motivational to him. "The Legend" will return and supply us a million greater rd in the past hangin em' up.

they should keep farve playing as long as he wants, obviously rodgers is not what they thought he was or he would be out there playing.... I mean if rodgers was really the missing piece they would have him out there playing, rodgers is a bust they need to trade him to the texans or some team like that and keep farve until he is ready to go......
