Communicating is not as easy for some people as others. Perhaps they need to have a third party help them learn to "talk" to each other.

Sometimes it's better to have a third party involved, because after a certain amount of time, a couple stops hearing one another OR a pattern has developed that is hard to break. Love doesn't necessarily have to do with the ability to "talk things through", but it sure helps as being the foundation. When the two of you get stuck in that rut of not being able to talk things through, just remind each other why the two of you are together: YOU LOVE EACH OTHER. Also, a certain time apart has been known to help. Sometimes we don't realize what we have and we take people for granted, and by being away from who we love gives us a new appreciation of that person.

It takes two people who know how to talk things through .
Besides some things do not warrant a second chance .
Spending 1200 dollars on a dress or that remote controlled model plane is something to talk about if someone is upset and money is tight and if the two of you have different values on a savings and retirement plan and expensive purchases are agreed upon ahead of time for some people 1200 bucks is a large amount .
But surprising your wife with a convertible Mercedes is always a nice touch .
I was having a drink with a guy I knew and after he bought it and parked it outside the restaurant where he was meeting his wife for her birthday dinner he remarked if this does not get him a hoover the divorce papers will be served the next day . I said so the only reason you are giving her the car is to get blown . He said yeah of course why else .
The mother of my children ,love of my life ,companion for eternity is a bunch of crap . Men just want to get laid ,and i am beginning to wonder about you . He said I figure the divorce judge will go easy on me when I explain i have given her everything a woman could want and still our marriage is dead .
Think hard now and tell me if those two can talk things through .
With him women are hookers reimbursed for sex with a nice home and plenty of expensive gifts .
You have to want a life together with someone before someone will want a life together with you .And not having communicated long before marriage makes life difficult for those people who fall in love spend a year together having more sex then conversation is doomed to failure .

My husband and I have a very strong relationship with open communication. Since our lines of communication are so open we rarely ever even have a disagreement....but when we do we always are able to talk it out and see each others side.
Not everyone here has problems. Many people do have strong relationships out there....you just don't here about them as much.
I think the direction that society is going in, in regards to what a normal marriage is, is very unhealthy. It is not necessary to fight all the time, cheat, etc. I think things start going wrong when couples do not have mutual friends. It is better for married couples to hang out with other married couples....that way they have the same friends and keep things in common.
Im not old fashioned either...Im only 23......

One very basic reason is the lack of communication. Communication is the key at coming to some type of resolution. When two people love each other, they should be committed to solving the problem through communication if they want to stay together. Sometimes they also fail to communicate because neither one wants to give up their side. Along with communication comes compromise, and compromise is hard, but necessary in resolving relationship issues.

Because of human nature...females think one way and males think a different way. Women naturally are more sensitive and want to hear that they are right (though inside they probably know that they aren't, but just don't want to admit it). In the heat of the moment, talking things through isn't always easy because certain words can be totally misinterpreted as women are good at sticking to their first mindset and will usually leave little room for negotiation when the argument is in play (she might throw things too...so beware). Gotta sleep it off, probably in a different room...in the morning when both of you had time to think and recharge, it will be much easier to talk. Choose your words wisely, the thing they want to hear most is "It's my fault..."even if it really isn't, they want to be ensured that you support them.

stubbornness, lack of communication skills, no understanding of what the other is feeling, selfish, afraid of looking weak to the other person, loosing face, not in the proper frame of mind. yes if they really love each other, but when people are in the heat of an argument, they really can't feel the love right than, best to back off for awhile before talking it out.

They have never learned how to communicate. However, it is never too late. You just have to sit down and make some simple rules. No arguing, agree to disagree, listen to each other before speaking. If the conversation gets heated, it is ok to walk away and come back later to finish the discussion. Good luck and God bless****

Well I don't have any answer for that. My husband and I have had our share of problems but despite all that, we still manage to talk about whatever is bothering us. We don't have a perfect relationship, far from it, but the fact that we can talk about almost anything, I consider that a blessing.

Because they lack the communication skills necessary to do so. having a conversation and conflict resolution through cnversation are two different things.
