Is it an original idea to make a traffic light as a fictional monster? I want to use traffic lights as flying sentry robots. Does it look like an original idea, or has another artist claimed that one?
Just imagine a ruined, urban place on a foggy morning. Ruined city buildings & lights in shambles. You approach a traffic light, and something moves. The red signal becomes an red eyeball! The traffic light rips free of its pole & starts shooting at you!
Well, how is this idea? Corny, too sci-fi, or weird?

what's it based on? what's the plot, the start, the ending...
don't make it a flop like "snakes on a plane"

There was an issue of Superman with someone named Morty Rivers (who was supposed to be the movie producer Mel Brooks) and the robot menace was made of junk. IIRC, his head was a traffic light. But your idea doesn’t sound bad. That was just a throw-away character than only appeared once. There is no reason why you could not develop your idea a little more and use it. Does your character transform into different things, like street signs or mailboxes or manhole covers? That could enable them to hide n almost any urban setting! Good luck with it!

Howzit Bro!
Listen dont wana offend you but thats gona be a real waste man.
Dont know if you watched the Movie Monster House recently but that kinda covers all there is in that category. If you make something with a traffic light it's gona be an overdone cleshei.
If you want to be original and yet terrifying go with the unseen. every horror or thriller you see nowa days has some crappy ending or sum stupid animal haunting or something of this effect.
When people dont know what to expect or cant comprehend what is happening and yet still at the end can make sense of it the horror lives in them and thats when it passes through generations FOREVER.

When the red eye lights up, it will shoot a deadly laser beam at you. When the yellow eye lights up it will bathe you in an amber glow while keeping you in a temporary state of suspended animation. When the green eye lights up you are released as it needs to re-energize itself for a couple of minutes.
Careful of the don't walk signal while in your state of suspended animation. The red hand will reach out and give you a judo chop, then grab you and pull you towards it. The white man will jump out and become your outline on the street, should you not survive the attack.
Quick, someone make popcorn.

Well I'll give you kuddos on being original. I've seen some pretty wacked up stuff, but this doesn't seem weird. If you can fit the monsters into a really good plot, and make them look VERY cool which you'll probably have no problem doing, It could be a very cool looking show/comic.

I haven't ever heard of a red eye ball coming out of a traffic light shooting at you! I think you've got an original there!

i think of it relatively is barely minds artwork plenty. I generally supply my answer and then bypass back and spot what persons stated and frequently locate precisely the comparable answer, precisely the comparable wording even, already given. each and every so often extra suitable than as quickly as. I each and every so often bypass back and definitely delete my very own answer because of the fact it merely sound redundant...comparable music, 2d verse. it is except i will alter or upload some thing to my answer to make it unique.

Um, not sure if it is original (sure sounds it, but maybe someone on LSD already thought of it).
As for whether the idea works, heck they made Aqua Teen Hungerforce, so anything could fly!

I've run a comic shop for nearly 30 years and must have read a gazillion comic books. I've never seen this one. Corny? Yea, but I've seen much worse... depends on how you handle it.

It sounds like a good idea to me. It also sonds as though i have heard it before but if it is original better get patent rights to it before someone else does. You shouldn't have posted that here. Someone could steal your idea.
