its so simple. open windows media player. click on file. click on open. click the folder or drive where the film is located. a window will open. on the lowest bar open the drop down box and click all files. u will see some files in the main window. click on MPGE/AVSEQ. click ok. the movie will start.

Right click on the file and select Open With
Later select Windows Media Player from the Program List
Check if Always Open File with Specified program is turned ON

Well, u can use Windows Media Player, it's there in your window's ?? Or u can use Real Media Player

windows media player is default movie player in windows, but for other video formats, it needs codecs, which u can get free on net..
other wise use Mplayar or BSplayer, they come free, and runs most of formats (BSplayer runs even rmvb files),
