Well u can put an ad in all the free classifieds on the web. U can buy a service to place an ad to all the thousands of free classified ad websites. Search for "free classified ads" on the major search engines to get a list of all the free classifieds web sites.
You can also use Google Adwords programme by registering with Google & paying only $5. It is a pay per click program so you only pay when interested clients click on your ad. Google is the top search engine so I recommend you advertise there.
You can also sponsor web sites & buy advertising space on popular websites which have your target audience. Similarly for mailing lists which are targeted to your business.
You can also place ads on the newspaper, magazines, TV, radio & other media. I suggest short ads for newspaper if it's for online so you can run it many days in many places. Use a catchy headline & explain why people should go online to buy from you, for eg, any benefits. Make sure your contact info like tel, email address etc are clear.
You can also use word of mouth & referrals to get your business.

If you are in the UK and want to advertise on search engines, you can contact an agency such as Easylistings: http://www.easylistingsltd.co.uk
They can research phrases that are being searched on search engines, list your site at the top of the sponsored results, and manage your listings so that you stay at the top.
It's a very good way of targeting customers interested in your products and if you get an agency such as Easylistings to manage it for you, it's very easy.

To end consumer or via resellers. As your ? is in SEO section id use search terms that either of these two would be intersted in, so for consumer may be time saving, or low cost or etc etc. Look at what others (competitors) do and then either do exactly the same, or do something entirely different.
