The average lifespan of a guinea pig is 4-7 years.
You can help your pig live longer by:
-Providing good-quality pellets
-Providing unlimited hay
-Providing a varied supplemental diet of fresh fruits and veggies.
-Providing a spacious, clean cage in an indoor environment.
-Providing chew toys and other activities to keep your pig entertained.
-Keeping your pet away from predators, such as cats and dogs.
-Supervising small children when they interact with your pig.
For more information, check out www.cavycages.com or www.guinealynx.com . Good Luck!

The average life span for a guinea pig, if they don't have accidents or get sick, is about 4 to 6 years. Though one famous internet guinea pig - Honey - is 11 years old!

I think it's up to 7 years, although I think you'd be lucky to have one living that long. My Guinea Pig died when it was about 2 years of a broken heart - I think, due to my rabbit dying a few weeks previous. Real sad!!
