How long after u give birth does your period start again?

If you are nursing your baby your period could be delayed up to 1 year. This is sort of a natural child spacing. (don't rely solely on this however unless you don't mind surprise pregnancies!) If you are not nursing, your periods should come regularly after 6 weeks.

It's different for everyone, babe. For me it was 3 months after birth with both of my kids. With one of my friends it was 3 years (had to go to the doctor to restart menstruation). Another friend started having regular periods straight after birth. Another was six months.
It all depends on your body, your hormones, whether you breastfeed or not, etc etc. I breastfed both of mine, and it didn't hold off my period for nearly as long as I'd hoped, lol.
