**WARNING** I'm guessing this person that you met is wanting you to send money. It is a SCAM. I am trying to tell a friend of mine who met a girl on line who says she is stranded, needs money. Funny how she too provided the zip code of 23401 in Ikeja, Lagos, Nigeria. The address wouldn't happen to be on Allen Avenue Road, would it?

I could be totally off base, but wanted to throw this out to you just in case. I have first hand knowledge of these scams, as I work for a law enforcement agency.

Hope this helps...

Interesting ... I have a girl totally in love and yet we have not met physically ... if she is half of what she says in her emails then I'm somewhat bonded to her too but when we first met is was all about startng a family and the idea was intriguing ... She wants me to send money to a David John well wait ... here:RECEIVERS NAME: DAVID JOHN
COUNTRY: NIGERIA
ZIP CODE: 23401
CITY: LAGOS
QUESTION: FAVORITE COLOR
ANSWER: BLUE.....................................
She said HE SAID to send Western Union ... first she needed $500 then she changed and said she already got $200 and now only needs $300 ... see how caring she is?? I just wonder if she is a he ... she won't call me which tells me there are a bunch of sweaty jocks making money on the internet ... if so they are good ... and she is so wonderful and lovely and knd and compassionate ... only problem isthat $100 mean a lot to me and 300 is a dream so she won't be getting any money from me ... not that I don't WANT to send it to her ... she has invested enough time that that is going to be a heck of a deal ... but I would rather her come join forces with me and help me build my LEGAL realty POST business ... I expected her to tell me she was kidnapped and the nappers want a $1million but she surprised me bu asking for money to pay her hotel bill ... I am trying to watch the time stamps ... have a clock set to Lagos time ... But thanks to you guys now I know what's the name of their game.

I googled "Nigerian zip codes" and found several sites with international zip code links. Unfortunately, the Nigerian post office seems to have allowed its domain to expire!
You can try this one: (NIPOST - nipost.com.ng)
Safari couldn't access the server, but you might have better luck.
