Have you ever felt like you´re feeling 2 completely different feelings..all at the same time?

If you have, what were those opposite feelings? And do you know why we have them? I´ve always wondered why i feel that way sometimes...and i´ve always just said, its just how things are and there´s really no explaination for it..i guess...but i was wondering..maybe someone out there does have an explaination for why we feel this way? Or maybe its just me..?

Wonderful question... hadn't thought of it before.... now that you have asked, it does look very possible to me.

We are a bundle of inconsistencies and indeed two opposite feelings could arise from the same event.... although one may be stronger and longer lasting than the other.

I think it can happen when an event affects one of our near and dear...... such that our self feels one way and our love for the person makes us feel the opposite. Take for instance a great success of brother. It could on the hand give a feeling of pride or at least admiration for his achievement and on the other hand a feeling of jealousy too. Similarly, when the son gets married, the mother may feel happy for him but at the same time may also rue the fact that there is going to be sharing of his love and attention with another woman.

But then I am only making a logical guess and can't recall a definite personal experience to narrate.

It is you and someone out there. If you have seen the movie "The Butterfly Effect", it is a story about how each little action we make, affects the lives everything around us, even the environment. Even the soft flap of a butterfly's wings can have gigantic an enormous repercussions. So select the good between the two opposite things. Good attracts good, bear that in mind.

Most likely it is because one of your emotions comes from your mind, yet the other emotion comes from your instinct. In some circumstances, the emotions are so different and opposite that they conflict with each other, giving you this combat of emotions going on inside of you.
An example: Somebody asks you to go with them and hang out. You respect this person and you think, "This is a good opportunity, i should go." But your instincts, being fed this person's body language, says, "Nope, don't like the looks of this, to dangerous."
