The theme of being obedient to parents. Parents instructed child not to go out, child disobeyed and figured in an accident (fallen into a pit, etc) .

The normal teenager who suddenly started talking absolute gibberish while watching tv at 7.30pm with his family. He couldn't make himself understood, yet his face told everyone that he seemed to think everyone should understand him. He was later diagnosed with a form of schizophrenia which hits teenagers with *apparent* suddenness. The story, should you choose to write it is about his 'normal' family learning to deal with this new phenomenon (he's 17) in the home, his siblings being teased for having a 'daftie' big brother in an out of the mental hospital, the reaction of his cool friends to the unexpected mental illness of one of their number.

I know how the story really went 'cos it's true, but there should be a novella at least in there for a talented writer aiming for a teenage market.
