It depends on how big your tank is. Most bottom feeders or some algae eaters are ok, but I would avoid chinese algae eaters because when they get larger, they can latch onto the sides of your fish. Ghost knives are good. If you want a school of fish, you might try danios (even though they are smaller, they are usually fine with angel fish), or some of the larger tetra (black skirts, large blood fin, etc.). Mollys are sometimes ok, but they can also get a little aggressive and nip at fins (and since angelfish have such long fins, this can become problematic). Something like a clown loach would be an interesting addion. You could also try some gouramis--they should do well. Avoid tiger barbs--they are also fin nippers, but tinfoil barbs might work well if you have a larger tank. If you want additional advice, check out a fish only store--they can give you better advice than a general pet store.

I keep my angels with a bristlenose pleco, three red swordtails, and four corydoras duplicareus. Corys stay at the bottom and are too big to be eaten by the angels, and as long as the swordtails are full adult size, they also are too big to be angel food. Plus, the swordtails are livebearers who breed often, supplying the angels with live food!
