The rulers are the significant individuals for this .I examine in Indian economic progression , after the Independence there have been some 5yrs Plans to improve the commercial status .Like that really in 1st and three rd 5 year plans magnitude change into given to agricultural market and eco-friendly revolution change into presented in 2 nd and four th 5 yrs plan magnitude change into given to market and significant business Estates and significant Public sector challenge were began out and ultimately studied about the rolling plan and after that no plans were formulated. So the governmentany any element of time is lower than no circumstances wondering about the shape at any element of time and how come the poverty will be eliminated. In some challenge also the electorate no were wondering about the progression of the country.there is one tax noted as professional Tax, it truly is largely being paid by the governmentemplolees.First each of the legal professionals went to the courtroom ,and escaped to pay the tax, and hundred and sort of execs are literally not paying this tax, there are criminals swindling the full usa both through the politicians or through departments and the government. is largely attempting to play secure video games to proceed with the skill. so the poverty at any p[oint of time seriously is not eliminated till govt.pay some contribution to it atleast now.

Definitely over corruption in all fields is the major reason for poverty in India. It is becacuse due to corruption all Governmental and non-governmental programs has not reach the ordinary public fully.Secondly lack of education - most people in and below poverty line due to their non-education unaware of laws and governmental programs in order to get their rights fully.
Third, our politicians are not allowing the public to act freely. They still handcuffed our public by caste, race and force them indirectly
for communal riots. This is because to create for their own vote bank. They (politicians) will not help the public for socio economic
upliftment because appromately 50 percent of Indians are in poverty line. This is the major vote bank because only a minimum people in upper class and appromately 50 percent middle class cast their voting rights. On the other hand 90 percent of economically lower class (poor people) execute their voting rights for gifts at the time of election.

This is a Good Question, but there are lot of thing which have to change to eradicate poverty from India. According to me I thing Education is the mail thing, when the people is educated he came to know about all the rest things so we should try to educate all to eradicate poverty.
As Educating peolpe, he has an awerness over the burning issues as Over Population, which leed to Unemployment, this in turn leed to Negative Acpects.

Educating People over Aids,

To me I think if people are educated they are aware of the Circumstance. So education is the main thing.

Let me add to Emporio's response,
A caste system which goes beyond mere racism.
You are defined by the caste into which you are born, there is no chance of changing your status.
The complexity is too great to enumerate in this small of a space.
But essentially if a person is born into one of the lower castes and there are quite a few, you simply have the choice between this servile job or that servile job, no mixing, and highly defined and rigid roles within that context.
These people need to be set free from that denigration.

To me it seems to be a cycle. Illiteracy caused overpopulation to happen, overpopulation caused less supply and more demand resulting in people cheating on one anothers with money, property etc. thus resulting in poverty. I think us human are basically unsatisfied beings, cause if we were not, those who had too much would share with those who are in need and there would be a balance.
Am not sure how much that helped...anyway. hope u find the answer you are looking for.

India is poor because her people are poor.People are allowed not to work .They are allowed too many subsides which make them less ambitious.Every person should have some positive ambition which leads them to progress.Individual progress contributes to nations progress.

it's because of ignorance on the governments part, its getting more and more corrupt by the day and yet doing nothing to help the poor.
also, most of these poor ppl dont want to help themselves, they dont want to go out and get jobs, they dont want to get their children educated, they dont want to get educated themselves.they just want to send their children out to beg on the roads, and then buy alchohol and drugs with it,and gamble the rest away, while their poor kids suffer.also, its because of over population, too.and the govt doesnt implement whatever laws and rules it makes properly
