What a guy?
He said what had to be said.
Even this republican disagrees with the war. Sadly to little to late.

Do you agree with what Ford did at the end and do you agree with his comments?

Ford told Bush he supported the war in Iraq, The Daily News reported:

Why didn't this get as much coverage?

They say he actually was VERY VERY against the War, I don't think 99% of what he said will ever be published, or at least the most (stinging) remarks.
You have to remember when Ford was in, The VP Agnew had to resign for corruption, and Nixon put in Ford as VP, then Ford became president after Nixon had to resign for Watergate. Ford never really wanted to become President, This was in a era when there was not the LARGE DIFFERENCE between the parties, you might have had 5% or 10% on each side going to extreme left or right. Ford was respected by both Majorities of Republicans and Democrats at the time for his middle of the road views, and was known to be a moral man inside and outside of office.

I think what Ford said and did is wonderful. I am most definitely not a Republican but I do respect President Ford. Bushwacker my not like hearing the truth, but he won't listen to anyone else. And the Republicans might be slow to face reality but hearing Ford's words gives me hope they will pull their head out of the sand and think for a change.

It was actually a rather classy move ( a term not used to often when it comes to the Presidency now a days) He said his piece, releasing it after his death is in order to just make it a statement, not put anyone down and become political fodder.

He should have went to Bush in private, while alive.

Was his statements recored? Bob Woodward is a proven liar.

With all his years in politics I know he knew what he was doing, now the republicans must stop and think about it, as they wouldntdare attack a dead republican

I think it is amusing that he sucker punched them
by releasing it after his death
leaves them with no punches to pull
who can talk ugly about a dead man who is not buried yet

perfection.
