The fact that so many people have asked similar questions suggests they do matter. They matter to me, certainly. I think a lot of us have encountered enough people who don't value these things to start believing no-one else does, either, and that there's no way to turn the tide. You've taken a step in the right direction by asking this, so you can find others who believe in such values. A network of us might be able to make a difference, where we feel unable to change the way the world is going, by ourselves.

Yes to my family they do but to a lot of people they do not. A lot of parents are not teaching their kids to respect others. Honesty a lot of people would rather lie than tell the truth because they do not want to get into trouble and always blame others for what they do themselves. They do not want to take responsibility for their actions. A lot of it parents do not take time with their kids and do not know half of the things they do. Lets hope 2007 will be better

No, I think too many people are only concerned about themselves. We have had a serious falling away from the traditional values that made America the greatest country.

To fewer people each day but i think its because of experiences where they may have been discriminated against, lied to etc. I believe in the essence of Karma - Give out to the world what you would like and treat others how you would want to be treated. Theres to much hatred in the world and it stems from ignorance, people are people no matter what their religion, sexuality, gender, moral stance, etc People kill the beauty of the world.

To me, they mean everything! Same goes for my hubby. Some people care and others simply do not.
