I cant remeber loads of details about it but there was a girl that was transported to another world and she landed in a big white round room, there was a baddie called Mr Lister who chopped down all the trees to make glass and there were loads of ghosts flying around as there were no trees and wood was the only thing they were scared of. Please help!

sounds like the land of cockcaine by ww jacobs this has a forest backdrop to the story, jacobs wrote horror short stories, stephen king cited jacobs as an author who had influenced him. LF
