Yeah, and you can have a sign posted in front of your door: "Beware of Nukes!". You could save some money since it would not be necessary to install an alarm system.

Not sure why you asked this of libertarians but anyway...
NO private individuals should NOT have nuclear weapons as 1) the weapons are unstable and hard to maintain 2) can only be used on a national scale not a private scale 3) no way to ensure the safety of the weapons 4) People are deeply and truly stupid.
Again not sure why this is aimed at libertarians...are you thinking libertarians believe in anarchy? Libertarians want a small government that provides national defense and order for society but otherwise leaves us alone to live as lives as we see fit..kinda like the system the founders setup (that is until everyone decided to turn "big brother" into "big momma" who is now the sole arbiter of right vs wrong which is the opposite of the system the Founding Fathers wanted).
Democrats and Republicans have both raped America to the point that the real America is dead and buried and both have no respect for liberty and freedom. Maybe you should address this question to them.

Libertarians are known mostly for there belief in individual rights, which is basically the same thing as less Government control, So those who favor wanting more government power over its people, will of course slam the Libertarians as extremist.
Libertarians are very much against closed media, they want open media, they are very against a Corporate controlled government, because it always seems the Corporations win and people loose.
So Geez, you have some people who want smaller government who has less control over us, and the government and media in control is trying to make them look bad, mmmmmm, I wonder why, It just amazes me when they suck in people who are most likely getting used and abused under the present system and dont even know it, and teach them to hate Libertarians. The power of the press and the uneducated allways amazes me. Can the Libertarians have the extremist also, sure they can, just like every other party.
Happy New Year

exciting question. humorous how a majority of those people swear by potential of the 2nd modification yet especially much unanimously draw the line at nukes. i do no longer remember a clause pointing out what style of arms. It basically states "the ultimate to undergo arms". authentic nukes did no longer exist back then yet neither did computerized weapons or extreme capability lasers and so on. no person complains approximately them. Taken actually the 2d modification does enable nukes. The undesirable situation is it is not a directed capability weapon. It has a especially extensive blast radius. to no longer point out ask your self waves, severe warmth and lingering radiation. All or no longer something. yet hiya a bullet has no call the two. look on the magnificent area right this is an hazard for the 1st moron on his block to be the final moron on his block. Get off my backyard or i'm going to nuke truthfully anybody!!

No. The reason is simple: the way people are today, all it would take is for one person to piss off another person just the right way, and person B is likely to take out the entire city of person A without regard for the innocents killed to boot. Much like the world situation.

I haven't yet heard a Libertarian with an argument for thier viewpoint that holds water. They want small government, unless it affects what they want.

Comon on your being ridicilious, no , but we believe all citizens have the right to own fire arms. You obviously have neglected to studdy history, both the Nazi's and communists first move was to ban fire arms.

The fellow here calling himself "George W. Bush" has expressed his desire to eliminate the Jews (what he refers to as finishing Hitler's work). If you don't believe me, check http://answers.yahoo.com/question/index;_ylt=AuP2OMIpfk85jR8gXw68wwvsy6IX?qid=20061229044846AAEkCg2
In addition, he loves to send us to an Arab propaganda site that has no bearing on the questions being asked anywhere. This has no place on a respectable forum.
