I eat a balanced diet, but not as defined by the "Pyramid".

I try to but i don't always make it, between work and home it's hard to commit to a balanced diet. I might eat fruits and vegetables every day for a month and then go for weeks without any fruits.

Yes. I try to balance each meal. I take into consideration my carbs, protein, starches, fruits, veggies. I eat 5 times a day and try to eat each meal/snack at the same time every day. I do admit that my veggie intake is often lower than it should be. Right now I can't eat much in the way of raw veggies. Usually I love raw broccoli and don't mind other raw veggies but right now I can't stomache them. The most common veggie I eat is steamed broccoli with cheese. YUM! I eat a lot of fruit, especially tangerines.

no, although on occasion I got on a veggie binge and just eat 4 cups in a day. My guy always gets his mixed green salad in for dinner and a piece of fruit at lunch.
