Coats and Clark.com should have a chart, that you can match you floss with anchor also has charts, just in case your floss is what your needing to cross reference. If your looking to match the color most have stores that you can shop online. You can also search for cross stitch floss color charts, and you should come up with something.

I would definitely invest in a DMC or Anchor color card. They are like $20, but well worth the money, since you can carry them around around match them to whatever you need.

I find that Hobbycraft or Beatties are both very good for matching wools and threads.

you can also try anniesattic.com. they sell lots of cross stitch yarns and if you have the #'s you might be able to match it.
by #'s I mean like the dmc #
