I put a light bulb in my overhead light and it popped. I am trying to figure out what voltage/wattage bulb I should use. The old light bulb’s numbers are worn off.

I looked at the fixture and here is what it says:
YAH FEI
YF: 603
LAMPHOLDER
4F36 LISTED
660W:250V
LR: 101210

Thank you!

I hate to tell you this but if you have light bulbs "popping" you have got an eletrical problem that needs to be checked out.
check your breakers and call an electrictian. sounds like a short.

How long did this bulb last? What kind was it? The title of your post makes it sound like it was almost new. If that is the case, there is a problem. Contrary to what another post said, it can NOT be a short nor in the breaker.

What wattages are available where you live? Is this really a 250 volt supply to this bulb, or is that just the maximum that the socket can handle?

Keep in mind that this is a special bulb, not like one you would put in your house. Take the old one to a hardware store or lumber yard and see what the choices are. Choose one that is well below the rating of 660 watts if you can. That is a maximum rating, not necessarily the suggested one.

looks like any bulb = or smaller than 660w should do. the bulb has to be 250volts
sounds like a huge bulb/sun . check the watts/bulbs again
match the voltage & dont exceed wattage!
