Its actually very safe and healthy. It gives your body extra protein. You can contact your local WIC office (women, infants, children) for healthy eating. They give away peanut because it is healthy. It is not good to give peanuts to children b/c you dont know there reactions to it(allergies) but that does not have anything to do with eating it while your pregnant.

It is possible that your baby could develop a peanut allergy by you eating peanuts. This happens because the baby develops an immune response to the peanuts in your blood. It is only a possibility as are lots of things in life so it is up to you to decide on the risks you want to take. I have 3 children & love nuts & peanuts. I ate them all through all pregnancies & breastfeeding. One of my children has a mild nut allergy but the other 2 are fine. My child with the nut allergy also has many other allergies so i'm not convinced me eating nuts during pregnancy caused it specifically.

It is safe & healthy but many doctors nowadays are under the assumption that if we eat any type of nut during pregnancy or feed it to our children at a very early age, they will develop allergic reactions to it that could be fatal!

There have been millions of women who have been pregnant, bore children, ate PB during those 10 months (it's really not 9) and many more to come and these kids have turned out just fine!

But if you're weary about it just cut down on the amount you eat! Always better safe than sorry!

Hope you have a wonderful & magical pregnancy & many blessings for a healthy little angel!

it's amazing that the species has survived this long, when you think about how many pregnant women have eaten peanuts and peanut butter over the past century ! My generation grew up on peanut butter and jelly sanwiches. And nobody ever died from it ! I'm sure you've got rare cases, but for the most part, peanut butter is a-ok for humans ! Also, we survived with our mothers smoking cigarettes from their long-stemmed holders, and their prescribed Valium.

I ate peanut butter all through my pregnancy. My daughter is now 2 1/2. Also, if it wasnt safe why would WIC put it on the voucher for pregnant women to be able to get. The only way its not safe is if you have Gestational Diabetes. Then you have to moderate yourself and not eat to much.

I ate peanut butter throughout all my pregnancies and all my children are fine. I would stop eating it however if your mouth swells or other reactions are noticed. While you are pregnant your body will react to whatever your baby is feeling. But I would say eat away, especially if you are craving it. Your body know what it needs and where to get what it is lacking

of direction that's. Why might it no longer be? what's the adaptation of it being on bread or no longer? truly, peanut butter is amazingly intense in protein. some medical doctors even advise peanut butter to pregnant women individuals, particularly vegetarians to make up for the shortcoming of protein (from meat) of their eating ordinary.
