I'm guessing this is your first baby?? You should prepare, darling, because most first pregnancies last beyond their due date...don't be afraid of going over, though! Unless you are weeks overdue, there is nothing to fear, and you've not even come TO the due date yet. I think it's something like only 5% of pregnancies that actually arrive on the *suspected* due date, as it is just a guesstimate. I myself was induced at 8 days overdue and had my darling daughter at 9 days over at 1:07am. Yes, you feel fed up and are more uncomfortable with each passing day, but it really is a wonderful experience and a fabulous thing being pregnant! Just try to relax during your last days/weeks. You haven't got long to wait, but it may feel like months because you're anxious!!
Good luck and try not to worry about going over...lots of women do!

The cramping you are having is your body preparing for labor. You'll have a beautiful new baby to care for soon enough :) I was due April 23 this year, was scheduled for induction May1 when I came on my due date. After a thankfully easy labor-they said because I had had the cramps and such liek you do for so long, so maybe yours will be easier too (my daughter was a VERY hard labor and I didnt have allt he early cramping) he arrived on his own April 27. I spent my last 2 days of pregnancy in the bathtub it really helped me feel better!

The cramping your having are probaly braxton hicks contractions, which intesify during the time your closer to deliver.(they are contractions that prepare your body for labor). Just b/c none of these other symptoms have occured yet does not mean you will pass your due date. A lot of times these things may not occur until the actual day you are in labor. (I have 4 children) So don't be discouraged just yet. And if your due date does past its ok. It is only an estimated date. They wont let you go to long past it. Just know your little one will be here within the next 2 weeks, thats exciting in itself!!! Congradualtions mommy!

Going past your due date is very common especially if it's your first baby. There are a couple of things that can be done that MIGHT(no guarantees) help bring labor on..one thing is to have an orgasm(I'm not trying to be rude or anything like that) it makes the uterus start contracting if it's strong enough and if your body is pretty ready to have the baby labor might start. another thing is go walking(when I was in early labor with my oldest that's what they told me to do to speed up my labor. another thing that might help is go for a ride on a REALLY bumpy road, where you're really bouncing around I've heard of that starting labor. Good luck to you and your soon to be bundle of joy!!!

walking can make things move along, sometimes too well ! I have 2 friends that went walking out in the pasture ,( long walk), and one had to be taken to the hospital immediately after coming back, and she had the baby within hours. My other friend had walked, another long walk, and she wasn't even due, which was scary, but they had to sew her up til the baby was ready ! But, you are so far along, it could start happening right now ! Walking would be a healthy , natural thing to do right now. Just make sure you go in a neighborhood or a mall. My friends were lucky. They both went walking alone, and luckily made it back before they got stuck out in a field by themselves, and in labor !.

Why are you stressing the due date. It is just a guideline. The baby will come when he or she wants to. They will start taking further actions to push you along about one or two weeks after your due date. My sister-in-law was in your condition and dilated to 4 for two weeks before she went into natural labor

my plug has only ever gone once I'm in labour and my waters have always been broken,
you may be getting braxton hicks which although they are not real contractions they do help get the baby ready for birth,
i had very uncomfortable braxton hicks for a week or so before i had my second baby but when labour finally kicked in i was already dilated alot and they said they think it was all the braxton hicks id been having.
good luck i hope your not waiting to much longer x x x x

Don't worry about it. Alot of women go past their due date. If you were having complications or the doctor thought it was goin to be a problem he would of already induced. Talk to him about inducing at your next visit since its concerning you.. Like I said youll be fine this is common is most pregnancy to go over the due date. Congrats!

Don't worry. Your doctor I am sure is keeping an eye on you. If he or she feels at any time that you or the baby are in danger they will induce labor or order up and immediate C-section.
PS - Name the kid Jimmy if it is a boy. It's a great name!

My darling you could go into labour anytime up to 42 weeks. Why are you scared to pass your due date? Your baby will come when he/she is ready. It is more unsafe for a baby to come into the world before they are ready as opposed to when theyare ready. If you are receiving accredited antenatal care you can be rest assured that all will go well for you.
