i have a coat worn by Noel or Liam on tour (with photographic evidence) but i dont know how much to insure it for?

Chile put that thing on eBay immediately, it must sell. Or check the local Christies' museum for an evaluation...LOL!
eBay is your best bet...inform local media about the auction to boost the value. Newspaper and television are ideal as a showcase for the coat, but radio may allow for more interaction with Oasis fans. There you'll explain how you got the coat...and generate real interest., which may translate into big profit.

Go on-line and show everyone the pic's and the coat and ask them to make a hypothetical bid on it. After you have given it ample time and know how much people will pay then go and get it insured for that amount or more.
The true value of the coat is what it means to you.

Lucky You - dont wash it... I would say it would be worth about £10K... Lets say it was worn by Liam - as he is probably the wildest and has the most notoriaty...next time Oasis hit the headlines - or Liam attacks some Reporter - Sell it... ask the Sun Newspaper if they are interested.

Is there any trace of dried vomit on the coat? This would perhaps make it worth even more.

I like the music...well...the old music....but they are the biggest wastes of space as people....boils on the bum of pigs......Oh, and Noel looks like 'The Hood' from Thunderbirds......
