We often send out cards, etc. and talk about universal peace. We wish all the best for our loved ones and we also wish for peace.
But every day we hear of wars, terror attacks and countries simply out to destroy each other.
When will this peace that we're looking and wishing for really fall upon our world?

Peace will only fall on our world when we truly are willing to seek out justice without conditions that suppress others and make other nations prosper at other people's expense. I believe it is the yearning for only our private agendas as nations, our country our states even our neighborhoods that will hinder any long lasting peace. Selfishness is a disease that will squelch peace. We must start doing things for each other unconditionally.

Meathead is right, according to the Bible, not until the end. But despite that, think about the ramifications of universal peace. With universal peace, the death rate would decrease causing the population to increase exponentially to the point that we would lose all of our natural resources. Eventually, we would see a world wide famine, not to mention that the crime rate would increase because more people would be unemployed and will be fighting just to survive one more day. We would be forced to find an alternative to our food sources. Watch the movie Soylent Green. Although the situation in the movie is based on economic factors, the same situation could be created because of world peace.

When the people finally figure out that the governments are what cause wars. The people do not want war, they have to be whipped up and encouraged or even forced to go to war. Government should serve the people, not the people serving the government. When that fact is understood world wide and the people learn to insist the governments strive for peace, we can have peace.

When humans are no longer greedy. When does that happen, who knows but I do know that greed is an inherit biological device found in all animals. Its genetic to try to horde as much for yourself and family to help pass on your genetic materials. Hopefully at some point we as a highly evolved specious will get past this primal reflex and provide for each other freely. This is kinda the same reason why communism doesn't work correctly; its a great idea on paper but when man has to do it he becomes corrupt and fails.

It would be really nice if peace would come...It would be nice as well if children in Africa wouldn't die of AIDS and other diseases and if people around the globe would' t starve to death...What can we do about it ?! If rich would finally understand that needs of the poor are equal and if money would be distributed on basis of peoples' needs ( sounds too much communistic ? ), that would certainly be a mayor step forward, unfortunately our way of living enables rich to become even more rich and the poor are starving even more ...
