How the copyright law works?

If I collect part of information from many sites and put it in my website with my own words and narration am I violating copy right law?

I have seen many sites with almost same content. All sites were protected by copyright law. How this law works actually ?

Anything you write is your copyright. What are you putting on your site? Your own words? Or are you doing a 'copy/paste' routine from the other sites.

You cannot Copy/Paste information.

But to read the other sites and create your own work is certainly acceptable. And it would be a good idea to credit your sources for the information you used to create your work.
