Hi Honey and Congratulations on your pregnancy! You have so many wonderful things to look forward to.
I have to agree wholeheartedly with the other women who wrote to you, it is nothing to worry about. The movement of the baby will vary from day to day and I would not worry unless you have felt no movement at all.
I would like to share with you something that my doctor told me when I was pregnant. I am not sure if it applies to you or not but it couldn't hurt. I used to worry that the unbilical cord would get wrapped around the baby's neck. My doctor explained to me that the cord was rather like a garden hose that was turned on. You know how stiff a hose is when it has water rushing thru it? He said that it is very difficult for that to wrap around the baby's neck. That comforted me quite a bit.
The other thing to consider (this actually happened to me) is that the baby is very sensitive to what you eat or do not eat. With one of my pregnancies (I have 5 children) I had not felt movement in what I thought was too long. As it turned out my blood sugar was so low that I had put the baby to sleep! They gave me a glass of OJ and within seconds the baby was doing somersaults! I felt silly but happy to know that everything was all right. The next time you are worried ask yourself how long it has been since you have had a snack or a drink of something nutritious.
Take care dear and enjoy your pregnancy!
Blessings

No. The baby is just like us grown ups...it has days where it's full of energy and moving about and it has those sluggish days where it'd just rather lay around the house so to speak. I wouldn't worry unless you don't feel the baby move at all.

There are a few "tests" you can do to check the fetal movement. One is eat a small snack and drink something cold and lay on your left side and start counting movements. There should be at least ten movements in an hour.

However, if you are concerned, you can ALWAYS call your doc...they are there to help you through this entire experience and will be more than happy to answer any questions or help calm any fears you might have.

Congrats and good luck to you for the rest of your pregnancy!

Not necessarily at this point in the pregnancy, maybe when you get further along. My daughter would go for days and not move when I was pregnant until it got closer to time. I wouldnt stress that isnt good on the baby at all. Just relax. Rest. I'm sure its fine and just having a lazy day we all need those from time to time.

No, you shouldn't be worried. Only if the bay doesn't move at all for a long period of time.
