The kissing on the mouth? Is he sticking his tongue in it? Is it opened mouth? My children would lay on my lap all the time. I would scratch their backs, play with thier hair, kiss them on the forehead. I love my children and am still very affectionate. I am always caressing my daughter, she's 20 now, and when I touch her It's because I love her. I think this is my baby, she's beautiful. When we part or when she is off to bed we kiss, on the lips............I sounds natural to me, especially if he's a single dad. I really couldn't tell you if something inappropriate is happening. If you feel and sense it, perhaps you should tell someone.........have it investigated. But, if you do, you could be ruining someone's life, especially if it's unfounded. Does the girl seem withdrawn? Is she anti-social? Is she moody? Does she keep to herself all the time? Does she have friends? These are some of the questions you need to address first. But, I really can't say. Children that are being molested usually show signs of sexual awarness. Does she act inappropiate towards you? Does she do things and display grown up inuendos and jesters, this is what you need to look at. Okay, I guess I've said enough. I pray it's not what you think it is.

It depends, I have a 4 year old whom I only get to see 2 or 3 times a year. I hold her and kiss her (even on the mouth)every chance I get, and usually sleep in the same bed, but the last time I went to see her she said I snore too much and went in to a different room on the second night. most times before she wouldnt let me leave cuz "she misses me so much".I also thought about how much hold her and baby her when I have her and what others might think about it. I wouldnt want to do anything that would make her feel uncormble, but 4 years from now it will be what she wants not me.

I dont like it. You can treat your doggie like that but with a daughter it can be more than that though certainly it may be totally innocent. he may even be just a very zealous loving and protective affectionate guy but his over the top attraction to his girl must make him emotionally unavailable to you, no?
i have a friend who is about 2 years past his divorce and he is so emotionally attached to his kid he has nothing to give a woman.
I think the key for YOU may be to let him know you understand his undying devotion to his girl (whether you do or not) and let him know you feel unimportant and left out. Obviously dont make him choose between her and you. Let him know you fear there is not a place for you. stir up the pot a bit a see.... he doesnt sound ready to be dating at all.

lady/dude, COME ON, seriously.fathers and daughters always kiss on the mouth (not tongue). it really dont sound odd to me, think u overreactin a lil. if this was so wrong would he be so stupid to do it infront of you?if u so concerened talk to the daughter but tlking to his wife should be a last resort. she's nine - im pretty sure she knows whats wrong and right, she probably also knows bout sex and everything.

Hey, umm...I dunno I guess it might be a little strange. As long as he is not making out with her or anything like that or a romantic kiss on the lips or touching her in areas he shouldn't be they might just have a good relationship. Just watch them...you should be able to see the difference between normal and creepy. Good Luck! ;)

no nothing wrong here i dont think. It sounds normal to me they are both obviously very close which is sweet and nice. You do seem jealous otherwise why else would you be bothered or even have noticed? Do you honestly think he is abusing her? what are you trying to imply?

constant kissing on the mouth is a red flag ! But you should not be alarmed by touching as long as she happily receives it.

maybe you're just stereotyping or jumping into conclusions without enough proof...
or maybe the father is pedophilic..
if i was also the one who saw that i might think the same thing as you. coz it's just not normal and seems a bit awkward....
